The immovable willpower it takes to overcome addiction. To stand in the center of everything and remain firm, to not give into temptation. To remain concrete. I sometimes find myself slipping against it but, this painting reminds me to dig my heels in and stand firm against the tide of want. One day at a time, one moment and breath at a time.

Acrylic on canvas. Paint has feathers, stucco, salt, glitter and chalk mixed in it. The sparkle from the glitter is nice in a well lit room.
