dark is feathers, paint, stucco, glow in the dark paint, and emotion layered on canvas. Joshua Browder added layer by layer over a 6 week period do breath life into "dark". It is a 30x40 canvas that glows in the dark from the rays of hope shooting out the figures eyes.

This piece symbolizes the inner turmoil of anxiety. Sometimes anxiety has a hold on you so tight that you have to kneel down. The power of it seems overwhelming at times and the figure in this piece is screaming back at the dark. That even with this pressure of anxiety we all have within us the capacity to push back. Even in the actual dark this figure glows and shouts at it.
