My girlfriend collaborated with me on this painting. For me it symbolizes how we are, she more structured and calculating and me kind of all over the place. During my sobriety I have had a hard time adjusting to all these emotions most of them I don't know what they are and they swirl around me in a seemingly unknown pattern. My girlfriend has helped me immensely during this as she remains structured and asks me questions sometimes helping me locate what it is that I am feeling. We swirl around each other as two separate pieces sharing the same space sharing this part of a journey together. 

Acrylic on canvas. Paint has a mixture of stucco, salt, and chalk. The texture changes the appearance of the painting through out the day so hang it in a sunny room to watch how the shadows play out over it.
