Two 12x36 canvases make up this dynamic painting. Layers of stucco and acrylic paint are applied using pallet knife and paint brushes. A final addition of glow in the dark paint is mixed in to give it a different perspective at night or under a blacklight. The poem talks to the struggle that this painting embodies. Currently hanging in my office, was repainted.
It is about the inner fight with uncertainty. It is about the feeling of being torn apart by it. The need to hide it, to put on a mask and not talk about it. The hurt inside as it overwhelms. It glows in the dark to show it is always there never leaving.
