This piece embodies the alone empty feeling I get after the rage quiets down. After pushing everything away how nothing is left but self. Alone in the ashes replaying events and questioning my actions. I would feel this after a night of burying myself in vodka, in trying to escape my life through alcohol. All the alone and empty I would try to escape would come rushing back in starting the cycle all over again for me.

Acrylic on canvas. Painting has a mixture of salt, stucco, eggshells, and glue. Some of the orange glows in the dark under the black so it looks like the embers are still hot. Hang it in a room that gets dark at night but has enough light to charge it during the day.
